libcanary-stability-perl software package provides canary to check perl compatibility for schmorp's modules, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcanary-stability-perl
libcanary-stability-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcanary-stability-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcanary-stability-perl *
You will get with libcanary-stability-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
